AGA Conference

About our Annual Conferences
One of the Anti-Graffiti Association aims is to arrange an annual conference so that members and non-members have the opportunity to meet and network.
The AGA have organised conferences every year since its inception but are mindful that in 2012 everyone has greater constraints on finances than before. For 2012, the decision has been taken not to hold a conference because we know many of our members and regular visitors will be unable to attend.
We hope the financial situation will change during this year and that we will be able to announce the re-commencement of conferences in 2013.
We believe that for an association to function properly and provide an information resource for its members, Good Practice must be shared with others. Legislation changes, products evolve, the graffiti culture adapts and new challenges test those tasked with keeping buildings clean.
Knowledge is the key to reducing graffiti impact. By sharing knowledge, the level of graffiti and its impact on society can be minimised. Prevention and timely removal of graffiti addresses urban blight and enhances the quality and attractiveness of neighbourhoods for residents and businesses.
Conferences provide the opportunity to ‘touch base’ with others in the industry. We have been fortunate that manufacturers supported our conferences and brought along their products and information stands. The AGA conferences usually include discussion times as well as presentations so that useful interaction can take place between the speakers and the delegates.
Feedback received from delegates confirms our view that an opportunity to debate issues surrounding graffiti is a major benefit of any graffiti conference and we look forward to announcing the next one soon.
